Are You a Coach, Consultant, Speaker or Personal Change Leader Wanting Your Marketing & Written Material to Reflect The Real, True, Authentic You?
Dear Fellow Professional:
It's entirely possible that you're so good at what you practically do for others that you may have left one of the most important aspects of your practice and service to fend for itself.
And, if you're just beginning your ascent to the top in your profession or service, you may not have fully established your presence in a way that's real, true and authentic.
So what am I talking about?
I'm talking about the way you're represented... the way you're positioned... the way you're spoken about in all your written materials. And when I say written materials, I'm talking about everything from your website, your promotional and printed materials.
I like to call them your marketing and communication assets.
It's so easy to bypass this, to skip through your own written marketing materials and to leave your very essence, out of your communication equation.
It's very easy to leave it all out, thinking, believing, convinced that you've put your best case forward. Though, when you take a cold hard look at it all, you find that you've really not been represented in your best light possible.
It reminds me of the prolific author Robertson Davies when asked what he thought about the person who wrote a biography of his life, said... "it's a marvellous life... of someone else!"
And that pretty much sums it up for many practitioners across many disciplines -- their true self just hasn't been captured in the right way. Their essence, their true spirit, their true ability, character, personality and skill really hasn't been made to shine.
But please don't mistake the above for meaning something else. You see, I'm not talking about being represented in a braggadocious, pompous or lofty way.
Quite the opposite, in fact.
You see, I'm talking about extracting the true essence and true uniqueness out of a person and sharing that magnificence with the whole world.
We're only here on this planet for a few short heartbeats in the great grand scheme of things so hadn't we better put on our best show for the world and showcase to them the real you and what you're truly about?
And, hadn't we better do that in the most captivating and the most intruiging and most interesting way we can?
I sincerely hope that's true because in my experience, we really do underestimate the inherent value we possess and the true transformative power we have in the work we do.
And that's what I love doing. To bring this all out so a person can see their true worth and their true value and the magic they really bring to their client's lives.
